As Director of The British Display Society, I had great excitement to be given the opportunity to judge the best exhibition stand in the various categories. There were a number of companies that took the visual presentation of their exhibition stands really seriously and put a great deal of thought into the design/concept to attract that all important potential customer. There were some exhibitors who thought it was acceptable to arrive with a few rails of clothes and expect to make vast sales. Given my 20 years experience and knowledge in the Visual Merchandising industry, sadly I could not allow these exhibitors onto the short-list of winners.
It is very much like the phrase: “You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression”
The final winners were:
Best in Womenwear – Goose Collection
Best in Menswear – Trixta Design
Best in Accessories & Footwear – Barrito
Best in Show – King Louie
Best Emerging Designer – DB Berdan
